OUR GLOBAL MISSION
The main goal of Global Wildlife Support is to aid wildlife across our ever changing planet and to help individuals and organizations who share a similar vision.
We aim to create a more direct connection between people and the wild animals they care about, whether they live in different countries or on different continents.
Many people express a desire to support the wildlife on our planet; however, they aren't sure how they can contribute. We hope to bridge the gap between these individuals and the animal populations and habitats that need the most help.
We will foster this connection through fundraising campaigns, volunteer services, placement of professionals, and captive management programs.
The 2019-20 devastating bushfires burnt an estimated 50 million acres throughout Australia, leaving the citizens and wildlife of Australia in desperate need of assistance.
The Global Wildlife Support (GWS) group felt compelled to act, and they developed a "boots on the ground" team in order to provide assistance in any way possible.
GWS worked hand in hand with Australian wildlife carers and distributed over 50,000 AUD in medical supplies, donation money, and equipment. In addition to funding and supplies, the GWS team set up field stations to locate and feed burned, orphaned, and starving animals in New South Wales.
The GWS team is currently funding and operating a Koala search and rescue mission on Kangaroo Island off the coast of southern Australia. The koalas living on the island are starving due to the lack of eucalyptus in areas affected by fire.
Our mission includes using drones and thermal imaging to locate and evaluate koalas living in affected areas. Vulnerable and orphaned koalas are then rescued and placed in the care of veterinary professionals to ensure survival.

Organizing small fundraisers on a local level is also a great way to “act locally while thinking globally.”
